TOUR DIARY - ALBURY Oct 24 - SHEPPARTON Oct 25th - MELBOURNE Oct 26th

Day 1 - Well here we are again, all hated members of the Drugs cramped in a tiny hire van ready for the 6 hour trip to Albury. Its not that awful really, although i am recovering from a broken ankle after all and Ian Baddley's whinny voice seems to send a painful vibration through my newly installed pins and plate.

Please tell me why is it no matter how light everyone packs some cunt always brings the biggest fucken suitcase known to man?

After a quick stop in bumfucknowhere, soon enough we arrive at the Termo hotel in Albury, one of our favourite venues on the map and get settled. Although everyone swears at the start of the tour they will have a healthy trip, we all tuck into some of Albury's finest ale.

Due to my current state of injury, i proudly watch my equipment get loaded out of the trailer and set up on stage, God bless Cable.

We arrive on stage about 11pm and blast Albury with the hits, they are all there, all one of them. The show goes well, no injuries as yet and everyone is in high spirits for a night out.

Tracks, Banko, Harry & I decide to retire to our room and talk about how much we hate the others, while Baddley, Live & Cable go for a night on the town with the locals and head to the nearest Top 40 club.

Day 2 - Today is a short drive to Sheppo & the Yahoo Bar, so we spend a quiet morning at Albury recovering from the previous night.

All loaded in to the van i cant help but notice Ian drinking a bottle of vodka at 11am, something about a sore throat & that it seems to help.

As we near Sheppo we get a call from Nicole@triple j wanting to know if we'd like to get nude to help the farmers suffering from the drought, before i know it I'm sitting beside a nude John Citizen and a van full of buck naked Drugs driving down the main street of Shepparton, i hope the farmers appreciate the nightmares i will have for many months to come.

The Gig at the Yahoo bar went well, The crowd was great and soon enough were catching up with all our friends from Sheppo. I hope i can get the image of Harry Snow urinating into a water bottle out of my head, please god.

Once again a few of the lads hit the town post gig, while the rest of us head back to our hotel to get some well deserved sleep.

Day 3 - I wake to the sound of Mark tracks complaining about the taste of shit in his mouth, that will teach him.

Early Saturday morning we gather around and get a run down on Harry Snow's interesting night.(No more said)

We pack the van and head off to St Kilda for tonight's show at the Espy. Thank god I've got Peabody's new album in my headphones to drown out David lives Cox Plate tips for the day.

We arrive at the Cosmo hotel early Saturday morning, and everyone parts ways for their afternoon off in St Kilda. About 4pm we all met at the Espy to set up for tonight's show, Ian's voice is completely gone and he's been scribbling messages on scrap bits of paper all day long like a mad scientist.

David Live has yet to return from the races, so Mark, Harry & I venture into the front bar for a beer & some R&R. Before I know it it's showtime, The Res Head's play a great set and join us back stage.

As we get ready to go on, Ian Baddley approaches each of us with our designated task. Due to his lack of vocal strength, I must now sing the end of B.O.R.E.D, Tracksy has to do the intro for Metal Vs Hip Hop & David Live must take care of all other duties.

The Show goes well, The Commissioners Gordons Horns join us on stage to add some brass to Burger King & Situation Government. There were even a few injuries in tonight's show.

Ian Baddley received a split lip due to Mark Tracks foot & Mark Track received a mild concussion after being flipped into the drum kit. A Drugs show just doesn't seem right without injuries, so i deem it a success.

Backstage I catch a glimpse of Ian with a tampon in his mouth soaking up the blood, Mark Tracks looks in bad shape and can't seem to stand without getting dizzy.

Everyone heads off in there own directions, a few of us head to a bar called the Vineyard for a nightcap, were joined by our good friend Brad Lawson who filmed our clip for Metal.

Several drinks later we are kicked out of the bar and head back to the Cosmo where it dawns on us that we have a ten hour trip home today. The trip home was a bit of a blur, I have these vague flashes that i cant seen to put together, maybe its better that way.

Till next time.
